PRAYER of CONFESSION Congregation
LORD JESUS CHRIST…Son of GOD, have mercy on us as You prune our barren lives, making it possible for us to bear much spiritual fruit. We bring distress and grief to ourselves and others with our careless words and actions. Enable us to avoid sin as we seek righteousness. Forgive us when we falter. As the Church, we work for an abundant spiritual harvest in worship, mission, and ministry. We pray for revival among your people and awakening among those who resist your call. Let us experience an outpouring of your Holy Spirit across the world, transforming the hearts and minds of people everywhere. Let your righteousness nourish our faith, enabling us to be effective witnesses as your disciples. May we produce abundant spiritual fruit.
Hear our silent confessions…

RESPONDING TO THE WORD OF GOD
*AFFIRMATION of FAITH Apostles’ Creed Congregation
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth
and in Jesus Christ his only Son, our LORD;
who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;
he descended into hell;
the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended to heaven,
and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost;
the holy catholic church; the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body
and the life everlasting. Amen.
